This two day seminar will deal with what purchasing processes are and how they should be identified, managed and evaluated to maximize organizational efficiencies.  Throughout the two days participants will partake in case studies, simulations and analyze different purchasing challenges that modern day firms face.  Some of what participants will learn about includes the management of purchasing practices/processes, the pivotal role that purchasing processes play in supply chain management, the concepts of Benchmarking, Reengineering, Just-in-Time and Total Quality Management and the use different purchasing process improvement tools to save organizations time and money with their Supply Chain Management practices.

This seminar provides credit for the seminars in the Diploma program. It is eligible for 10 Continuous Professional Development/Maintenance Credits for designation holders. It is also open to anyone who wishes to expand their knowledge in the subject area.

Note for Diploma Students: This seminar represents a seminar credit in the former Diploma program. If you are enrolled in the new Diploma program please do not take this seminar as you will not be awarded with a credit in the program. Seminar Cancellation/Refund Policy: A full refund will be issued on cancellations received in writing at least 10 business days prior to the seminar/course start date. An administration fee of $150.00 is applicable if notification is received between three and nine days prior to start date. Thereafter no refund will be available. Substitutions and transfer of registrations is permissible when received in writing three business days before the seminar/course start date. Credits to be used for future offerings are valid for 12 months from the date of initial payment and will expire if not used in that time frame.
