This certificate seminar begins with an exploration of the nature and causes of conflict, and the barriers to resolving conflict. Various conflict resolution approaches are then introduced. Participants will get to know their own negotiation style as the five negotiation styles are presented. Among the other topics covered in this certificate seminar are assumptions and myths of negotiating, the elements of win-win negotiations, how to prepare for the big event and dealing with difficult people. Participants will leave with an action plan to successfully conduct their next negotiation.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of negotiations concepts and terminology.
  • Understand and categorize different types and styles of negotiation.
  • Understand a variety of negotiation tactics, when to use them, and how to respond
  • to these tactics when used by others.

Seminar Cost:

Members $875.00 + HST (13%) = $988.75

Non-members $1075.00 + HST (13%) = $1214.75


Seminar Cancellation/Refund Policy: A full refund will be issued on cancellations received in writing at least 10 business days prior to the seminar/course start date. An administration fee of $150.00 is applicable if notification is received between three and nine days prior to start date. Thereafter no refund will be available. Substitutions and transfer of registrations is permissible when received in writing three business days before the seminar/course start date. Please note that credits to be used for future offerings are valid for 12 months from the date of initial payment and will expire if not used in that time frame.

Once registered, you will receive a final event confirmation email from SCMAO approximately 1 week prior to the seminar.
