Principles and guidelines for effective communications in a business environment are the focus of this certificate seminar. Topics covered include the impact of emotion on communication, using appropriate language, how to improve listening skills and the role of non-verbal behaviour. Participants will examine how to give and receive feedback, as well as how to respond to conflict. The certificate seminar will address developing strong presentation skills and how to communicate in meetings. An overview of written communication, including e-mail etiquette, is also presented.

Seminar Cost:

Members $875.00 + HST (13%) = $988.75

Non-members $1075.00 + HST (13%) = $1214.75


Seminar Cancellation/Refund Policy: A full refund will be issued on cancellations received in writing at least 10 business days prior to the seminar/course start date. An administration fee of $150.00 is applicable if notification is received between three and nine days prior to start date. Thereafter no refund will be available. Substitutions and transfer of registrations is permissible when received in writing three business days before the seminar/course start date. Please note that credits to be used for future offerings are valid for 12 months from the date of initial payment and will expire if not used in that time frame.

Once registered, you will receive a final event confirmation email from SCMAO approximately 1 week prior to the seminar.
